On August 24, 2024, students, families, and friends came together for the Renewal in Reunion Concert, a heartfelt celebration of beloved teacher Mei Zhi Bi. The afternoon was filled with music, memories, and gratitude as generations of Ms. Bi’s students — from young performers to accomplished professionals — shared the stage.
With 12 performers, an audience of over 100 guests, and a program featuring works by Debussy, Chopin, Liszt, Gershwin, and more, the concert, chaired by student Pallas Shen, was not only a showcase of artistry but also a moving tribute to Ms. Bi’s six decades of inspiring teaching. Together, the community raised $850 for the Canadian Cancer Society, carrying forward Ms. Bi’s tradition of giving back through music.
It was a joyous reunion that reflected the deep bonds she has built through music and mentorship.
